Health is wealth, and anyone who has ever lived with a health condition that negatively impacts their life knows how true this is.
Getting well looks different for everyone, depending on their health issue and their lifestyle, but in almost all cases the road to recovery is sped up and smoothed out with exercise.
That’s right—exercise isn’t just about getting fit. It’s about building a lifestyle that supports health, protects against disease, and promotes well-being.
Exercise is so powerful, in fact, that if you’re struggling with poor health, you owe it to yourself to see just how much of an impact exercise can have on your life and your journey back to wellness.
The truth is, though, that it can be tricky to start and stick with an exercise programme on your own.
Many people find themselves overwhelmed with questions before they even begin.
- How do I start?
- How often should I exercise?
- What kinds of exercise should I do?
- Am I doing it right?
That’s why we’ve created an exercise referral scheme that connects trained staff with people who need access to information and support to get their health back on track with exercise. Whether you prefer working out in a gym, swimming, group exercise classes, or other forms of physical movement, the exercise referral scheme can get you moving in a way that’s fun and enhances your health.

How do I apply for the exercise referral scheme?
The first step in qualifying for the exercise referral scheme is to get a referral from a medical professional.
Your best bet is to visit your GP and request a referral. With a completed referral form in hand, you can get in contact with your local InspireAll leisure centre to make an appointment either in person, by telephone, or by email.
If you don’t have a GP, not to worry. You can also get a referral from a qualified and eligible clinician. Simply print a copy of the referral form and take it to your appointment with the clinician. Then, reach out to us to make your appointment.
